Playing With Your Future Friend (A Short Story For Light)

Baby Light, I was playing with your future best friend yesterday. I was playing with Sir Royce, our English bulldog.

He was your father’s Christmas gift to me a few years ago. 🙂

I can’t wait for you to meet him. I can’t wait for you to play with him.

You and him will be the best of friends! 🙂

I just hope he has settled down a bit by the time you arrive.

When I was playing with him, he got really excited and jumped at me. He got his paws on my belly, on you, Light.

It wasn’t that hard, but it got me worried. What if he had hurt you? He is heavy and really strong after all.

Now I have a light scar on my belly! 🙁 I hope it will fade away by the time we do our maternity shoot.

Of course, your father got angry at me for being careless. He had always said to be careful around Sir Royce. Sometimes he just gets really excited and crazy.

But we love him and I love to play with him. Soon, you will, too. 🙂
